1st day: Arrival (LD) The itinerary today is dependent on a morning arrival to Havana.
Arrival at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana. Meet and greet with the guide and private bus transfer to Havana with a short stop at the Revolution Square. Continue to 23rd street in Vedado where we stop to change money and see the street life. Then head for the Hotel Nacional for a Mojito cocktail in the Hall of fame bar followed by a typical Cuban Ranch style lunch in the garden. Dinner tonight at San Cristobal paladar, a Cuban private restaurant where President Obama dined while he was in Cuba. After, return to hotel.
2nd day: BLD
After breakfast, we have a private guided tour of Old Havana and meet local people to see the important sights.

After lunch we will have an architectural tour with a specialist guide and explore the area of Vedado, which was developed as a garden city in the early twentieth century. We will note the Hotel Riviera, a perfect example of 1958 design which was funded by Meyer Lanski, the former Havana Hilton hotel and Art deco modern style apartments and some of Havana’s office and ministry building, also icons of the 1950’s. Return to hotel. Dinner tonight at El Carbon in old Havana.
3rd day: BL
After breakfast we visit the Cuban National museum of fine arts. We will have a private Art curator to conduct this tour. Lunch is at the village of Jaimanitos in the Gaudiesque surreal wonder of artist Jose Fuster who has literally plastered houses, bus shelters and streets with his mosaic art for the benefit of the community. Return to hotel. Free evening. Suggestions offered. We will know closer to the time, what ballets and music events will be occurring at the time.
4th day: BLD
In the morning, we visit a fascinating musical workshop in old Havana where we discover about Cuban musical tradition. Under expert guidance we learn how to play Cuban musical instruments and also learn various Cuban dances including Salsa, Rumba etc. Lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the famous Callejon de Hamel, a street adorned with murals and we see a Santeria dance. Return to hotel. Dinner this evening at a penthouse private restaurant, Café Laurent.
This evening’s option could be the world famous Tropicana cabaret (not included) or the Le Parisien cabaret (N/I).
5th day: BLD
Today we take the bus with the guide to the town of Matanzas, a charming town about 90 minutes from Havana, which emerged as an important home to many of Cuba’s artists, writers, musicians and intellectuals. Today it is known as the Athens of Cuba. We visit a fascinating publishers, Ediciones Vigia, where artistic books are all bound by hand usually in limited editions of 200 copies. Then we visit the old Pharmacy founded in 1882 by the Triolet family. After lunch, we visit the Hemingway house in the village of San Francisco de Paula, just outside of Havana Return to Havana late afternoon. Dinner at Paladar L’Atelier.
6tth DAY B
Breakfast hotel. Departure to Jose Marti International Airport in Havana. Check in at airport.
